Yes, you can use the watchdog clock, as mikclecat suggested. It always clocked by an internal RC oscillator. Eeprom writes and and also spm writes has a fixed delay. -Geir

Sure. Help -> AVR Tools User Guide -> AVR Studio -> Simulator -> Port logging and stimuli. It does however seem to support digital port stimuli only. -Geir
