Connecting two AVRs using SPI - Why no resistors?
I wouldn't bother. Lots develop hardware without using them. Of course, if you are where getting a replacement part costs lots of money and time, being extremely careful isn't a...

TWI.... again
A hardware trick for determining whether it is the slave or master pulling down involves putting a schottky diode between the slave and master (cathode to the slave) with a second...

What is this FET doing? (new question)
Yes, you have to be careful when designing things that plug in hot. Sneak paths can cause interesting problems. I prefer to look for ways to automagically discover the daughter...

Über stable oscillator.
Put a plastic shell over the Tiny13 and have it control a FET driven heat load so that the oscillator sees a nearly constant temperature much above local temp. (Is there a prize...

What is this FET doing? (new question)
You are confused. (Welcome to my world, I only visit clear thinking now and then.) PE7 is controlling a P-ch FET in the original schematic. The Bluetoot(h) schematic uses PB-0 for...

Über stable oscillator.
So what's the application? Share the fun and post a description.

What is this FET doing? (new question)
When PE7 is pulled low, VGS is nearly (-)3.3V, not 0V. A minor point, but it might confuse those not comfortable with MOSFET biasing.

Reverse bit order of a byte
emuler - cross wire p0.0 to p1.7, p0.1 to p1.6, etc... It is hardware resource intensive, but it works. :-)

Reverse bit order of a byte
Isn't it supposed to be on sideways? ;-)

Femto OS for small AVR's (like ATtiny861)
Lots has been written on this. From what I recall, GPL'ing the operating system does NOT GPL the application. Two separate entities, even if burned into the same ROM. Improve the...

avrfreaks in SF Bay area?
PM me. I live near you and we can arrange to test your box. I use them at work. They are not bullet proof.

Boot memory and flash pointers
Ah. Thank you. I had hoped someone could point me to the right document and section, though it suprises me that boot segment location coding would be defined in the library...
