Generating ELF production files
Sorry I have to ask again : when you set up the eeprom in the main like you showed, which might be better than my method, this is stored in an *.eep file. Ok. But how is this...

Generating ELF production files
Maybe I'm missing the point, so please don't jump at me :) For me the easiest way to create an eeprom file was taking a setup system and read the eeprom into a file ;) The goal...

Generating ELF production files
I must say I'm still missing that function too. While fuses mostly stay the same and can be put into the header at least my EEPROM contains "variable" data and should only get...

@Kartman if you're XORING the polynomial into the CRC - then of course this value will be shifted if there are zeros - try it. @clawson just on it - the result is ok - as expected...

again CRC, I don't get it
thank you for your answers Quote:The polynomial does not get shifted! You get 8 bits of dats, add that into the current crc value, then loop for the 8 bits Xoring with the poly...

How often can I write the EEPROM ?
I thought about that too, but how to realize it in a practical way, the storage address has to be stored somewhere too. Do you have a suggestion ?

yes, thank you, that's what I didn't get before, that mega1280 has the 128k including bootloader section and xmega128 has 128k for application and then the extra 8k bootloader...
