Generatig signal on timers...
I have already used atmega88 to the current project so I will stay with CTC and two timers. For future more advanced project I will definitely go with Xmega. I hope programming...

Generatig signal on timers...
david.prentice wrote: Quite honestly, using one timer in CTC mode to produce the output. And a second timer to interrupt every 2.5ms. This would be far more efficient. i....

Connecting KORG TM-40 tuner to the microcontroller...
Probably my description was not clear enough... I describe it simply: I want to measure by the Tuner frequency from the AVR microcontroller. Microcontroller is programmed so on...

Switch vs if instruction or maybe there is better way...
Quote:compiler will likely generate a lookup table where it does a computed goto based on the switch variable so it will just takle i, use it to index an array of destination...

High frequency output PWM - how make good resolution of PWM?
Quote:It is for a power supply ? Or what kind of converter ? Yes it is for power supply. But I wanted to have ability to control precisely power of the converter. The converter...

High frequency output PWM - how make good resolution of PWM?
Quote:An even better solution is to use a dedicated chip and to control it with the micro. Hmm yes I think I will use popular timer NE555 or something similar. I wonder how...

High frequency output PWM - how make good resolution of PWM?
I wanted to make converter on ferrite core which would run with such frequency and I could precisely control it`s power by PWM. It is prototype device so I am at designing stage....

High frequency output PWM - how make good resolution of PWM?
I would like to get at least 0.1% of resolution if this is possible?

Applying hall effect sensor or mic as frequency meter
Quote:Maybe use a One Shot. Something like a 74VHC123 will trigger on a 5 ns pulse. Yes I think it is a way to go... Quote:The spark duration for a conventional ignition coil with...

Applying hall effect sensor or mic as frequency meter
I didn`t think about it yesterday but instead of measuring voltage across the tested element I can measure it on short length of wire so in this way voltage should not be high....

Applying hall effect sensor or mic as frequency meter
Quote:Why not just measure the voltage across the test element? After all, Ohm's law will tell you the current from the voltage and the resistance. Voltage is about 10kV and...
