No this only happens when linked against BitCloud 14. BitCloud 12 works under identical circumstances and with identical code. I've checked and rechecked configuration.h files...

CS_UID is set for each device. It is read via CS_ReadParameter(CS_UID_ID, &extAddr); and then printed to debug output via usart. The serial number chip is being read correctly...

BitCloud Operation
What Bitcloud stack version are you using? I had a similar experience and found that versions 1.9 and 1.10 showed this behaviour whereas 1.8 worked fine.
