prog for choosing E24 Rs for given ratio
Incidentally, I made a program that does close to this a few weeks ago, but using 2 pairs of 2-parallell resistors to achieve close to ideal ratio. Wish I had seen yours first,...

Max input voltage on a I/O pin at low current?
Jepael wrote: Edit: wait, did you say anode towards transistor, cathode towards AVR? that is even more wrong and any ordinary diode would do the same thing. FET gate would only...

Max input voltage on a I/O pin at low current?
This is just speculation (I'm not really "seeing" the circuit) ... but if you add in a series resistor between the gate and the avr pin (with the pullup on the FET side of it)......

How to design something that can last long (years)?
Didn't the OP mention that birds might be a problem with solar panels? I have never played around seriously with them, but how big a problem does birds incur on solar powered...

Traces in VCC layer of 4-layer board
I only have a little experience with four layer boards (one made), but I did collect as much information as I could from the "pros" in my vicinity before commiting the design. The...

Wireless Transmission of MP3
stevech: As the OP already stated, it seems to be fine using lower sample rate MP3's (presumably it's just speech) - which will be far below 100 the Kbit/s net yield communication...

ATMega328P Flash Page Size and Address Bits
I'd suggest asking Atmel directly about this issue - you'll get a straight, reliable answer, and if the datasheet is wrong, it'll be fixed for future users, thus avoiding this...

Handling call-used registers
Erm... I'm sorry, but I don't see a question?

Led Matrix with 5x7 1,2" bicolor modules.
If you can't find it when googling or looking through your PCB layout program's parts libraries (built-in and on the web!) - there's usually only one way to go: Make the footprint...

If my circuit consumes 20mA, how long it will run?
When you start drawing these very small currents (depending on the battery type), self-discharge starts to become more and more noticeable. But as a ballpark figure, it should...

How to drop voltage with small currents?
If all you need is a few microamps (and never more than that), why not use a good ol' zener diode? Be sure to check the V/I characteristics, and the temperature drift, to make...

STK500 or AVR dragon
Dragon + breadboard + a sprinkle of components == STK500 If you want to be up and running now and not mess around with the electronics, go for the STK500. If you want to know why...
