No Data in DATA register of TWIC
ASF turns off power to ALL modules in its init() function...So check that out. I don't use ASF, so I don't know much about it, but forum search ought to help.

Timer1 units are on pins 4/5, and you're not setup for that. There's no code to synch a pulsewidth read, so I don't get how you get good numbers, even if you're using the ISR...
