Resistor size to measure current
If you don't care about the accuracy too much, why not use the 10A un-fused mode. After you get a rough estimate you could use a wire to jumper the burned out fuse on the mA range...

new to avr will this shopping list work?
Will that 74HC191 actually work all the way to 40MHz ? It's only rated up to 24MHz @ 6v, at least the TI part.

BJT high side driver design
There is no avr actually, this design just uses some comparators and SR flip flops. I see the issue of having the pot close to ground and pulling it to vcc might cause, I'll add...

Circuit for using RTC in power saving mode
I think you forgot your 5v source in the last schematic. Also, if that 5v source goes in between R10 and that diode, I think you'll need a pulldown and not a pull up resistor (R10...

what is the risk of running at 3.3v rather than 5 at 16 mhz
Check this graph, according to it the max frequency you can get at 3.3v would be approx 12MHz or so. So at 3.3v and 16MHz it might not run at all, or not run in a stable manner.

Dimming led with atmega32a
Dimming is usually done with PWM, your schematic should remain the same. Check the tutorials here in the forum for PWM. There is plenty of information about PWM in the forum, just...

Interfacing ATtiny13 with Gas sensor and transmitter
The alcohol sensor product page has links to Arduino examples, you can rip off the schematic from there. It seems to be varying its resistance according to the amount of alcohol....

Anyone has any experience with 18650 Li-Ion batteries ?
I'll be a bit more specific, although the ebay page is lacking any information. Here is the link.

Anyone has any experience with 18650 Li-Ion batteries ?
I'm more worried about having it blow in my face rather than just stop working. Assuming it has over charge protection and short circuit protection, am I good to go ?

PWM + PoV display, how to determine the sufficient pwm freq?
Chris-Mouse wrote:As a starting point, I'd suggest working out how fast the fastest moving LED in your PoV display is moving, and select a PWM period equal to the time it takes...
