My circuit makes an audible tone...And i don't want it to...
Interesting... I've never heard (no pun intended) of a ceramic cap doing this, but thinking of the internal construction it makes perfect sense. I tip my hat to you guys !

Can i connect 15V ac supply to pins of AVR32 or AVR 128
No - DC only, and then as stated before you must not exceed the voltage range quoted in the data sheets...

how to make electronic load?
Also keep in mind that whilst a USB port can in theory supply up to 500mA, unless you have some way of 'asking nicely' (eg a microcontroller performing USB enumeration) i think...

Favorite hand tools?
Lindstrom also get my vote for wire cutters. I had a lovely small flush cut pair for over ten years and they would have done another ten years if my missus hadn't used them to try...

Robot doesn't work anymore
Battery powered ? - Flat batteries ? Just because the led's are on doesn't mean they have enough power to run the bluetooth & motors.

High end soldering equipment - how/what to choose?
I'm fortunate to have a Metcal iron (though a fairly old one) and a JBC hot air rework station. The JBC is brilliant for removal of large chips using it's vacuum tripods and the...

Negative voltage for and LCD's contrast level. How?
Yes, all you need to do is put the pot between the -5v and +5v rails and then take the pot's slider to the LCD module's contrast pin. As Tom says, the 7660 isn't the same as a 555...

Negative voltage for and LCD's contrast level. How?
The spec on the Sure Electronics page shows Vcontrast as 0~-5v so this is one that needs a negative contrast voltage. I've seen this on character LCD displays too that have a wide...

FT232 fails to enumerate with ferrite bead
What's the voltage across the ferrite bead whilst enumeration is happening ? I can't help thinking that the ferrite bead is really something else. Robin

Does this 'component' exist?
Black Box do something like that - in the past I've used their Pow-R-Boot5 boxes which could switch 5 mains outlets under control of an RS232 port. I'd guess that they're all...
