How can I detect if XMEGA32A4U is started as normally (power on) or after watchdog reset.

In the "ordinary" Mega range you can look at the bits in the MCUSR register, there should be an equivalent in the Xmegas.

In All Xmega cpu's the STATUS register will tell you the type of reset that just took place. This includes the Software Reset, Program & Debug Reset, Watchdog Reset, Brownout Reset, External Reset and Power-On Reset. If any of these bits are set, then that is the cause of the reset.

Hope this helps.
