There are a few posts about WSN Monitor JAVA code. As there is no way to get the source code of it.

I am wondering if someone had try to use WSNWare:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/...

it looks similar.

I know very little about JAVA, if someone work on WSN monitor code before, would you please share some experience with me?

Thx

Tom

What is your final goal? The protocol is simple, and you can tack on any GUI you like.

I just don't see what practical use it can have beyond basic evaluation.

Hi Alex,

My goal is to find a easy way to send commands to the nodes.

the demo of WSN monitor can only send only one command

"APP_IDENTIFY_COMMAND_ID"  to node.

WSN Monitor did most functions I need, the only thing I need to do at this stage is to send a few commands to node.

according to WSN monitor release note, WSN monitor 2.1.0 has a feature to send command, but it was removed in 2.2.0

I got WSN Monitor 2.1.0, but it can not be installed to my computer, it may work on old system, like XP or Vista, not try it yet.

My goal is by using WSN monitor or similar software to send commands to node and log the raw data the coordinator send to PC.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

Tom

None of the WSNMonitor versions could send custom commands. Release notes are probably talking about something else.

I don't think there is any other way, but to redo the application yourself.

So what you want is not a Monitor, then - is it?

The purpose of a Monitor, as the name suggests, is just to monitor - not to actively control the network or nodes...
