I've been bitten by a simple avr-libc bug recently, mostly due to my only occasional use of the environment and the result that I miss important updates. There is no automatic way to get updates, on has to check manually.

So I'm wishing for a PPA for the gcc toolchain. The standard Ubuntu package manager would alert me for updates and install them if desired. I suppose I'm not the only one with the same desire.

I once suggested that to bingo, but he ended up with hosting binary packages at some fellow freak's website instead.

Sorry Markus

I can only offer a MPA "Manual Package Archive" :-) , @cliff's website
http://www.wrightflyer.co.uk/avr...

Remember to replace util/delay.h with the file from here.
https://www.avrfreaks.net/index.p...

The reason i haven't done a rebuild (with the new header) is that i am following Jörg's FreeBSD repositories , and avr-libc 99.9%

And he hasn't released avrlibc-1.7.1 yet...

I intially though I should just bite it and go ahead and create a PPA myself, using your instructions/scripts as a base. I think I could pull that through, but I doubt I can sustain a decent update cycle on my own. I don't want to start something for it to die because of missing maintenance.

On the other hane I don't know what the real effort is, yet.
