WinAVR with Studio - IDE startup

My IDE for WinAVR with AVR Studio launches a C project by opening one window for every single-wingle C and H file. In cascade. I've fiddled, but cannot figure out how to config the IDE to open instead in one single window. I want the IDE to startup witout cascaded windows. It would look the same as double-clicking on the maximize box on a single window after all the windows appear in cascade.

Steve, as I understand it the
.aws stores the files that will be opened and their positions. Did you try re-saving the project after closing a number of windows and then trying to reopen the project? You can also try deleting the .aws file (which AVR Studio will then regenerate).

ah so! I closed the 15 or so tabs along the bottom (files), saved the project, exited, restart and yes! just one window.

I guess all those files were in the opened state because I added them to the project and they were "open".
