Hi Guys,

Did a search here and on google - perhaps a dumb question
is there a setting for the makefile in winavr (latest GA) to "make program" using an avrisp2 on USB?

Also - free to good home / poor student: An original, genuine, one-of-kind Atmel AVRISP1 (Serial interface) will even pay shipping! - Only the truely needy need apply

IIRC the version of avrdude that comes with the latest version of WinAVR doesn't include libusb support, you won't be able to make it work with the AVRISP mkII.

If you also have AVR Studio installed, then it should be possible to modify your makefile to call Studio's command-line STK500/AVRISP software (STK500.exe) which will be able to access your AVRISP mkII. I don't have time right now to look into the necessary syntactical issues, but I think it should be relatively straight forward.

Thanks for the suggestion!
Would help if I RTFM (As I tell others to all the time)
There is a secion on Page 21 of the the AVRIspmkII users guide on programing through the CLI.
I'll play with it. Once I get it working i'd be more than happy to post my makefile.
