Dear AVR experts,

There was some interruption while I was programming the Atmega328 MCU today. It could be the power was withdrawn during programming due to poor contact. Now, the MCU seems to have died and I could not re-program it anymore. Will power interruption during programming result in the MCU being permanently damaged?

Thank you.

Most likely not. You seem to be grasping into the most unlikely causes. You probably programmed the wrong fuses and can no longer talk to the chip. A bit of a search will get you methods to recover.
