Why is web installer recommended?

I ask this because I have a fairly slow internet connection and I have multiple computers I want to install Studio on.  

 

So, it's more convenient for me to download Studio once.

The web installer complete download may be smaller (in sum) and upgrading will only download needed upgrades. Also,it is possible to make your own offline installer (only selecting some components) from the web installer (call it with -layout).
