I have developed a USB<->CAN-Bus "DOngle" which works good for now.
One is for my lab, 3 or 4 more are working somewhere else.
for these, I would like to provide an easy way for firmware updates. At the moment, I use the free bootloader from the website www.chip45.com.
This works. The only problem is that there is no command-line-tool. It is only a GUI program I have to manually reset the dongle by shortening some wired and start the connection process to the boot-loader fast enough to match the time-out.
This is difficult and takes normally several tries until it works.
Otherwise my PC-Software for the dongle can reset the dongle by program. I simply need a commandline-tool which can be started from the control software
I did not google around that much. Perhaps someone has a good idea
BTW: The dongle uses a AT90CAN128 with USART1
