EDIT: Solved. Brute force. Uninstall/reinstall did it. I dunno.

I've searched Atmel's support site, Googled, searched forum here.

I've used this MK II ISP for a long time, but apparently never under Windows 7. AVR Studio 4.18 SP3 is installed, works OK.

Win 7 says it cannot find USB driver. I did "repair" install of Studio. I don't see a "driver" for an Atmel STK with which the MK II ISP would be found. Win 7 Control Panel lists the device by name in the USB list, but no driver found.

Sorry, basic question.

Steve,

I know you have a solution but for future reference www.atmel.no/beta_ware - there's an updated "Jungo" driver there that is supposed to be more Win7 friendly.

that website wrote:
Jungo USB installer version 10.2. This installer will fix USB connection issues with AVR Studio 4.18 SP3 and improve Windows 7 64-bit stability.

I'll assume it's N/A to my Win7 32 bit usage.

thanks for the link.

I'd never assume anything. It may say it's specifically for a Win7-64 issue but you'd wonder if whatever was changed might be a better solution for Win7-32 (and possibly Vista too) ?
