This wire looks to me like wire that is sold under a variety of trade names in the U.S. Sometimes it is called "solder strippable". One trade name is something like "Solder-eze" or "Soldereze". Belden is one of the US manufacturers and Phelps-Dodge is another. It is pretty expensive, but I love it when I can get my hands on it cheaply.

Electronic Surplus Inc has a 26,000' spool for $49US. Per foot, thats not very much, but its expensive up front.

This wire is called "Vero Wire". It's avail. in Europe from RS Components. rs-components.com But unfortunately the Denmark site has the order number not in stock. You may order from Germany.

Order number is 105-4711

It's a set of four spools. 0,15mm AWG34. 40m/spool.
There is also an wiring tool 105-4626.

I use both, the wire and tool for quick test circuits. But not for complex circuits and never for SMD.

Thanx ka7ehk (is that a callsign) & Mic

I will look at RS , but they are probably more expensive than to get it from the US. The US $49 is ok , but 25% in sales tax and the shipping (also 25% tax) is gonna be outchhh. I will have to checkout RS.

Does anyone know what that length of the US wire is ??
26K' is ts that 26000 feet ??

@ka7ehk
I have found out about the price of Kapton :( :(
They want 15$ for 30 feet here in DK

Maybe i should try Ebay , but i have an idea about that not being so common , except if you are boing , nasa or some other hitech manufactor.

@Bingo

Try to google for "Vero Wire". You may find some other distributors than RS.
Btw: The price for the 4 spool wire set is 26 Euros.

www.farnell.com have a range of suitable wire of various thicknesses and sell Kapton tape. They have a branch in Denmark. Their full product range isn't available in all countries so you might have to order from UK.

Elfa.se/dk is always a good place to check for us guys from Denmark :-)

I think the product you're looking for is called "Litz wire", but check out some of the others products in the same category... Haven't looked that much on the price though, but check it out...

elfa.se charges DKK 259 + 25% for 288 feet
thats around 55$ , and plus postage.

I cant even find the component on RS dk (but it is on RS UK).

Will check Franell , but might end up with the 26000' :-)

Thanx for all the ansvers/suggestions

If it's VeroWire then a Google search comes up with something that looks quite useful.

How about:

Spare wire for Verowire Kit (4 per pack)
Spare wire for Verowire Kit
Ref: CDT0279 | Price: £10.47

Elsewhere it describes the wire as 0,15 mm, 40 m spools.
