When watching variables defined a .byte 1 or .byte 2 the Watch shows then a double words regardless of their size.

Also it shows the ADDRESS of the variable instead of the VALUE.

This bug had already been reported by others and a fix should be available in the next release of AS6.

I was given the workaround by support and I'll post it here just in case anyone encounters the same issue.

You need to add "BY" (plus a space) before the watch label for single bytes variables, by fiddling around a bit I found out the "WO" (for word) works for double bytes variables.

Please note that despite the ticket being CLOSED the bug is still present in AS6.1.

I had it in the back of my mind that it had been fixed but it must have been on another planet. :?

What part of it?
Showing the address instead of the value?
Showing the value as a DWORD?
Or Both?

Both, ie nothing has changed. :(

The workaround is still OK.

Then I am just as flabbergasted that you are that the bug was closed. Any comment in the Bugzilla as to why it was closed?

Ah-ha! You had a "support ticket", and the matter has been moved to the internal bug tracking system. Hence, the ticket is closed.

Right, Deena?

Basically yes.

Real: The support tracker and bug tracker is separate, so closed in a support ticket means that support deems the issue fixed (in this case, a workaround was provided to force the type to be correct).

Internally, the connecting issue between support and us was closed because the bug moved component, and I guess support missed the linking (which is not that difficult to miss). Internally the bug still exists, albeit with a lower priority as there are a simple workaround.
