Does anyone remember the Wainwright Solder-Mount/Mini-Mount prototyping system? The product was discontinued in 2006. I am looking for a pdf of the catalog that was on their website to use as a starting point to create my own library of parts with Kicad.

Have you tried putting your images into Google Image Search ... ?

  2. "Garbage" characters on a serial terminal are (almost?) invariably due to wrong baud rate - see: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/serial-communication
  3. Wrong baud rate is usually due to not running at the speed you thought; check by blinking a LED to see if you get the speed you expected

I am quite confident I have looked at every image that uses the solder mount parts. Not very accurate. I think it matched the image to the teeth or the eyes.

 

I'm not looking for random examples. What I want is the catalog (pdf).

 

Maybe your GoogleFu is better.

Did you try the internet wayback machine, google that and see if they have a copy of what you need.

I had forgotten about that. Unfortunately all but 1 page is missing the images of the pad layouts. I checked several years worth of archives and found that only page 11 has images. Very strange. Bummer.

These look to be just basic footprints, but with just 1 device on each little board - no?

 

Rather like the little breakout/adaptor boards that you can buy; eg,

So I'm not really seeing how this catalogue helps - can't you just take standard footprints from standard libraries?

 

Or am I just being thick?
