VMLAB - I've found another BUG-GGG...

I try to simulate PID loop control in demo VMLAB 3.10

Plant is RC network. C = 100n

I found that simulation work only if R <= 250k

If R > 300 k PID loop not simulating. Vjltage on C not folowing to PWM changes.

Seemes like CAP model not work propely.

My tips to VMLAB guys!

===========

SCOPE window is powerfuul tool !

1) Add options for viewing more than one signal in one horizontal
axis - it lets to compare signals more comfortable.

2) Add user defined horizontal marks for border signal's regions.

3) Main one! Add POWER option!
To plot digital value (char int long and signed ones) as analog signals in scope !

4) Do more than 50 ms Horizontal div. 150 500 1000 may be.

Do these and your tool become the best !

Remove BUGs !

On my side - I promise (sware indied) to learn English well !

1) How do you know that they read messages on this Forum?
2) Have you asked them about your situation? What was their response?

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.

I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.

Don't count on it. Seems to me the developers have abandoned VMLAB. It could be a real powerhouse simulator if they would put some more effort into it. I requested a bug fix for user-defined instruments over three months ago and have only had one response saying they would look into it, and they never did. I was hoping Atmel would release a developer's kit for AVR Studio so we could develop our own plug-ins, but that will likely never happen.

I like cats, too. Let's exchange recipes.
