Is there a cheap way to analysis the USB protocol between a development board and a device, say using a USB hub and sniffing using the computer rather than buying a expensive protocol analyzer?

EDITED:

You can't connect two host on the same node, but you can if you have "USB sharing hub".

such as https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BD8I2OY/

Will that work?

Haven’t we been through this before? So for the love of St Patrick, read the references you’ve been given. Then you’ll understand how it all works and we’ll all live charmed lives!

we have this at work:

https://www.ellisys.com/products...

as we normally do not spend to much money on tools, I do not think this will be an expensive one.

I do know it does what we want and we have found a lot of issues with it already, so is money well spend.

and I came accross this:

No idea if it works what it does, but free = cheaper than cheap, so might also do what you want.
