Uninstall AVR Studio 7 on win 10

Hi all. tried to uninstall AS7 on my newly updated win 10 machine and am informed that its not supported on win10 and it hangs there.

i know this is a windows issue but does anyone know how to manually uninstall the program

Doh, have created a bug that we shouldn't validate OS on uninstall (AVRSV-6805).

 

Note that AS7 actually works if it was installed on a windows 7 or 8 that has been upgraded to 10. Seems that the patches needed are applied during that process.

and I can't uninstall Atmel Studio on Windows 10!

this message means AS7 installs on my window but doesn't install!!

Answer

The error indicates that the IDE installation is corrupt one of the reasons could be the registry keys are messed up.
