Hi !

I am not sure whether the UC3-A3 Xplained eval board may be used as a USB (reduced) Host - a quick look at the board schematic leads me to expect it is possible,

but the quick start guide only talks about device mode.

Any guidance appreciated !

best,

Chris

From what I understand/have read, the processor in the kit (I happen to have the same one) is capable of the OTG functionality, which is what you want (I believe). There is a separate application note on using Atmel microcontrollers as USB host Android accessory (you should find it in the documents list at http://www.atmel.com/devices/at3...). I even think there is a code example in the ASF for the Android accessory (it is for one of the EVKs, I dont recall now for which one). So you should at least be able to get started.
