TWI Status Code inquiry

hello i've been working on a Lib for the TWI interrupt driven , using the data sheet there is an status code ( 0xC8 ) which has the following meaning 

here is an image showing it all , please some one explain when it happens ? and what to do ? cause data sheet isn't enough for me to understand :D

The above code came from AVR311 app note/code "Using the twi module as I2C slave"

The app notes are really helpful, you should download all of them so you can refer to them quickly as needed.
