Hi there,

I am trying to find a single chip smitt triger input AND, NAND or INVERTER, with a ~2,5V < Vcc < 5V and open drain outputs with maximum voltage >= 12V.

Does anybody have any idea?

Thanks,

Michael.

Take a look at the 7414. I think it is an active output, but I cannot remember.

You could build one from a comparator, but, it would require external components for hysteresis.

SteveN,
of course I will.

Jani,
As I said I am trying to do it using a single component. Actually I agree with you and till now I do something similar (as a solvation). I use a smitt triger inverter and I have connected a npn BJT at the output.

I have almost tried to TI and On semi, but the maximum (absolut maximum) that I found is 7V open drain. Of course anything <12V is useless for my applycation.

Thanks guys,

I think I will keep on using my present solution, but if I will get something I will post it.
