Hello.

I am trying to program a TINY11 via the STK500 and AVR Studio. I set the jumpers on the STK500 for high voltage programming, etc.

The problem is that the .hex file loads, but fails to verify. "Contents of flash do not match file." Also, I read the signature and it says "Signature does not match selected device!" 0x08, 0x48, 0xF8.

I have Tiny11 selected and yes, I have a tiny 11 in the socket. Could this be why the verification is failing? Any idea why this is happening? Could it be that I have other chips that were marked and shipped as Tiny11's?

Thanks for any insight.

ATtiny11 is in the right socket?

Target voltage is set to 5 V?

All other jumpers are in their correct location?

No, this doesn't look like another AVR's signature, it looks
like random garbage.
