is there any MATLAB compilers for AVRs?

it would be just great, all those toolboxes and high level functions! plus much less details needed to be noted by user, is there any thing like MATLABvision or such?

at least a decreased version for the limited accessories available on AVR chips?

No, not for a puny 8 bitter .

does any one of those come with more convinients than Codevision?
you know codevision is a very tricky- hint full one, it also lacks of Matrix operations. a serious disadvantage.

You will (almost) never find matrix operations as part of the standard library for an 8-bit micro. They are very rarely used. I think that there are 3-partly libraries out there. You need to learn how to use such things.
