I want to set up textpad to compile and build my projects. I have managed to do this with other compilers earlier, but cant manage to do this with avr_gcc. I tried to use the gcc_cmp.bat routine with input makefile, but output to the editor is "Nothing to be done", have tried to use compiler and linker prog. with sourcefile as input togheter with compiler/linker options, (Same as given in "standard" makefile as demonstrated in 'getting started with avr_gcc . pdf', or somthing like that, ). But this wont work. So i cinda hope that sombody had any sugestion how to mix avr_gcc and textpad togheter.

Hi Vidar,

I'm using current WinAVR... and TextPad MAKESs for me.
But if I invoke MAKE in a folder that's already been sucessfully 'made' I also
get the message "Nothing to be done".

Hope this helps

That's true, if you get the message "Nothing to be done." that usually means that everything is made. Please read the make user manual on how to use the program make.

Mayby you should clean compilation first. When earlier you compile it, results are saved, compiler react displaying Nothing to be done. Try do "gcc_cmp.bat clean". It should help. I was using TextPad, and it wroked, but now I use AVREdit.
