hi
i'm just woundering what is the most popular develepment board, programer is.
like avrisp,stk500,stk500,dragon or others.
stk500,stk600,dragon,avrisp
Why?
I have 2 STK500s but one is "fried", 1 STK600, 1 JTAG MKii rev A :(, a Dragon carefully locked in its lair, and 2 homemade programmers. I'm sure everyone has something different.
most popular develepment board,programer
An AVRISP is not a development board - I don't understand the question. Each of the tools you list has its own merits (explained in Dean's excellent article in the Tutorial Forum: https://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=45468&highlight=).
If they all did exactly the same job why would Atmel bother to make multiple devices when they could make just one?
If the question is really "which of these should I buy if I'm just starting out?" then tell us more about what you want to do.
Don't discount non-Atmel devices like Arduino and Teensy either.
i'm gonna uppdate my hardware in a copple of mounts and a'm gonna buy a develepment board and a new programmer and a wonder what is the best one so
i want to now what is the best dev board and best programmer.
Well it really depends what you want:
1) do you only want ISP programming
2) do you want High Voltage programming as well
3) How about PDI
4) or TPI
6) do you want to debug
7) debugWire?
8) JTAG?
9) PDI?
10) do you want some prototype area?
11) lights?
12) switches?
13) clock generator?
i did find the error on my stk500 so i don't need to buy new hardware so my stk500 and xmega board gonna hold a coupple of years more.
