Hello

i have a real and old STK500, work ok in ISP mode

i wand to to HVSP tiny85, it ALWAYS fails

i use a 12.2Volt DC PSU

i have done step by step that guide http://www.atmel.com/webdoc/stk5...

i open Studio7 (yesterday download) open stk500

click HVSP [apply]

click device signature [Read] and fails

reading STK500 voltage works, setinng to ISP works again 1?

found that the problem was that +12 was NOT aplying to RESET

can anyone confirm the exact point where RESET goes to +12 ( i guess Lm317 does that 12 Volt)

ie after choosing [apply] in STK500 Programming sheet [HVSP] -> [apply]

The two LM317 generate :

  • VTG (variable)
  • AREF (variable)

12.7V is signal V12P7 from the cathode of a TL431 shunt regulator after boost due to signal CKCPUMP from one RS232 level converter's boost.

V12P7 then has one diode drop through an NPN to generate 12V for signal PROGRST.

PROGRST is dependent on V12P7 and VTG switched via AT90S8535 or mega8535.
