What is the name of a three terminal active voltage divider IC?
I have seen such a device in some IC catalog several years ago but cannot remind the name of it.

Search for "active voltage divider" gives no hints.

I remember it was a "LM7805 style" TO-92 linear regulator (about 100mA, totem-pole output, I think over-current and over-temperature shutdown) which divided applied voltage precisely in half (independently of input voltage). Of course this is easily obtainable with two resistors, but the active divider gives low output impedance and low quiescent currents can be obtained.

This came into my mind here:

when I realized I actually do not know the name of the device.
