Software Developer III

Lynxspring’s Research and Development Team is looking for an experienced, energetic, and innovative Software Developer. We are a global company that develops software and hardware and provide distribution and support services for those developed products. We primarily develop products such as JENEsys® EDGE™ and Onyxx® while also leveraging systems and frameworks such as Linux, Java, and Niagara. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop firmware applications and scripts on different platforms
  • Participate in full software development lifecycle from idea conception through release and maintenance
  • Utilize various microprocessor/microcontroller development kits to determine design compatibility
  • Collaborate with the team during design, development, and integration
  • Assist with the maintenance of source repositories
  • Troubleshoot support inquiries escalated from our technical support group
  • Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
  • Write high-quality, efficient, testable code
  • Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement
  • Build out applications and infrastructure for the Niagara Framework based suite of products
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal processes

We Value:

  • Experience with Java programming development
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Experience with TCP/IP, RS232, and RS485 protocols
  • Experience in developing cloud-enabled services and applications; understanding of cloud infrastructure services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) is a plus
  • Linux development experience
  • C++ programming experience
  • 1+ years of system-level debugging experience using JTAG or other similar interfaces

Education and Experience:

  • 5 years of experience as a Software Developer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is a plus, or other equivalent experience

Have you conferred quite a bit with Dr. Daystrom?---he has a lot of new ideas and techniques in this area that you should be watching, if not already familiar.

If not, can we get a salad and large sand castle instead of the new machine method?
