Hi Everyone,

I am trying to figure out what's wrong here ... I would appreciate your help.

I am using the SAMR34 MC Xpro dev board and just can't make it work on my laptop

(Atmel Studio 7 works fine on my desktop - where the dev board is recognized and auto uploaded when connected to the USB).

I tested the example codes and it works fine ...

But... on my laptop (Asus Ultrabook, Windows 10, 64 bit) the Atmel Studio 7 can't find the EDBG which means that I can't connect the board to it.

I've checked the Device Manager drivers and they seem to be fine (photo attached).

I can open the example codes of the SAMR34 within the Atmel Studio and it seems like all of the relevant kits are installed.

Is anyone facing the same issue?

Thanks

That's in View/Available Tools right?

Yes (photo attached) - the board is plugged in via the EDGB USB and I've opened the LED TOGGLE example code

If you go to View -> Available Tools, do you see the simulator? If not, it means your atbackend isn't running.

Edit: In your screenshot, it shows the backend crashing. Find out why it is crashing and thats your fix. For me, a problem was installing Visual Studio 2019 before Atmel Studio. When did you install atmel studio?

Thanks for trying to help, I've decided to move on and work on another computer, it was a serious waste of time to try to figure out what's wrong here.
