Samg55 SPI slave w/o NSS

Dear Community,

 

I would like to use the aforementioned samg55 MCU Flexcom in SPI mode, or Flexcom in USART/SPI mode in slave configuration. I would like to use custom framing, so the NSS signals are futile. Do I have to tie the NSS signal to GND nevertheless? Or is there any way to prevent wasting these pins?
