Dear all,

We recently acquired a SAM E70 Xplained Ultra development kit, but unfortunately realized that there are no examples available in Atmel Studio or Atmel Start for this development board. Implementing standard SAM E70 Xplained examples works, however we got the feeling that not all pins are correctly configured in the header files as the simple Getting_Started example (to flash the LED) provides the correct output in a terminal, but does not result in flashing lights. It would be of great help in someone could help us with providing some extra information in setting up the SAM E70 Xplained Ultra board.

I just bought a E70 ultra board and found the hard way that it is not in the supported boards for atmel start. I'm curious if you got any information since sep 6 of 2019 -_-.

It seems the only way is to make the project manually, I tested harmony 3 and it's very ugly.

You need to install the Advanced Software Framework (ASF) - here.

After install, open Atmel Studio -> File -> New -> Example Project -> Filter by device family SAME70.

There are a lot of examples to work off of and if you don't find what you need check the SAMV71 device family projects.

Also make sure you have the latest version of "Atmel Kits" installed.  From the main menu, "Tools->Extensions & Updates".  Atmel Kits is used to determine which Atmel Xplained board is installed.

I installed the latest package but the Atmel Studio still does not recognize Xplain pro board.

How can we fix this issue ?
