Guys, since there is a topic up on the forums about RTOS can I ask a little advice?  So when you create a artefact say a Semaphore and the said Semaphore is later deleted.  Would it not be good to have a list of all the artefacts that have been created that lets the programmer know if the Semaphore has been deleted or not?

and the said Semaphore is later deleted. .... lets the programmer know  ....

What does that mean?  Deleted from the program?    How is that different than any other part of the program that is deleted?

Are you referring to some editor versioning options to keep track of changes?

If one tasks deletes a Semaphore then the repository will let other tasks know if it has been deleted.  You don't want one task trying to gain a semaphore that has been deleted.

Is this some kind of forgetful programmer you are trying to cater for then? What happens to the same guy if he mallocs but forgets to free then?

So you are talking about some sort of editor function?  Or some automated thing that throws the programmer out of their chair?

It's just an idea I have for handling deleted system calls.
