See the avr-libc FAQ about the status of C++ support.

Search the forum for `libsupc++' to learn more about people who intend
to work on the topic.

A ``full'' implementation of libstdc++ would most likely blow up even
the (not yet existent) ATmega256...

FYI, I've been doing a little bit of work in this area. No conclusions yet, and no time frame either.
