I just bought a QT600 kit.

Unfortunate I cannot upgrade its firmware. It is as it is now not usable.

I use the following software:
Windows 7, 64bit
Qtouch studio 3.1.0
AVR studio 4.18 build 692

in programfiles (x86)/atmel/avr tools/qt600

I find files like
qt600upgrade.exe with date of 30/11/2009 10:24
qt600_fw.zip 30/11/2009 10:11

Detailed description of problem:

Attaching qt600 interface board while pressing button - > status blinks
orange/red
In avr studio I click on tools/qt600 upgrade. Browse to qt600_fw.zip in
programfiles (x86)/atmel/avr tools/qt600. Click open on that file.
Now in the message box of the qt600 upgrade tool an error is visible:
Error connecting Qt600.
Then I click on Upgrade. A popup box opens: Error connecting to AVRONE!
Now I can only click on exit of the upgrade tool.
The status led on the qt600 still blinks orange/red.

What can I do?

Nick

I've tried many things like downgrading the software to no avail.

The interface card is not working properly, it does not connect to the qtouch studio. Updating is also not working.

Is there a hardware problem with this card?
Does it actually work? (Do others have a qt600 kit or am i the first one?)

If you have this kit, please tell me or write in this post if it actually works

Many thanks.

Nick

An update is availlable for win7/64bit on the beta sitw. It works.

Can you provide more details how you got yours working?

I have a QT600 kit also with Windows 7 x64 and QTouch Studio times out and will never connect to the QT600 board. I am also unable to perform a firmware update from AVR Studio (I have the latest version available - 5.0.1163).

I have a work project riding on getting this working and all it's doing right now is making me stressed and delaying my progress...

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi everybody,
I have a QT600 kit also with Windows 7 x64.
I've VisualStudio5, QTouch Studio 4.4 and QTouch Library 4.4.

My problem is:
when I plug USB cable in QT600 interface board, both LEDs remain off, either pushing or not pushing the button, meanwhile win7 doesn't find any driver for the new hw.
I tried to install AT90USB128, win7 accepts it, but neither VS5 nor QT Studio recognizes the QT600 board.
I get error even when I try to update the USB bridge FW.

Someone know what driver do I have to install?
Or someone know where I make a mistake?

Thanks to all who will answer.

Perhaps you need the Jungo usb driver?

Thanks for the interest,
I have Jungo driver, and I also tried to reinstall it.
I think Jungo works fine, because when I use JTAGICE3, it perfectly works under this driver.
Do you know an alternative installer of Jungo from what embedded in VS5?

I've got no idea what to do.
Perhaps uninstalling the attached hardware from the drivers (device manager).
Or uninstalling the whole software and reinstallation.

Actually, I already done it a couple of times.
I suppose that you see QT600 as sub-item of Jungo driver in the device menager, is it right?

When I have nog qt600 installed I have 2 items in my driver list: AVR Dragon and WinDriver.

After attaching the qt600 I get an additional one: qt600.

The properties of the qt600 driver is: date 14/05/2009 version 10.1.1.0
I have however the latest firmware in the qt600. It was obtained after studio5 was installed.

When I press the button on the qt600, the driver changes to qt600 Programmer.

Have you tried removing your jungo driver and reinstal the jungo driver?

I've just reinstalled Jungo and nothing is changed.

I've also tried to attach QT600 to another PC with same softwares but win7/32bit. I get the same behavior: unknown driver under device named "AT90USB128 DFU".

Last resort:

File an error or help request at atmel mcu support site. They take 1..2 days to respond.

Search on their website...

Or try studio 4, qt600 software from an older version.
Perhaps your firmware is not good.
Did you bought it recently?

Oh, remove AT90USB128 drivers. Perhaps it is interferring..

You should not have installed this (How could you do this? I never got that option).

Just for clearness, "AT90USB128 DFU" is the name of the unknown device (see figure), with nothing installed.

Then I've also installed AT90USB128 driver (as desperate trial) but obviously QT600 doesn't work. I've already unistalled this driver, so let's forget this trial.

I bought qt600 last week, it's marked with date 2011/09/19; maybe it's too new :D.

I'm going to ask to the official support.
However every other your suggestion is more than welcome.

I know your feelings towards this thing..
It is actually useful. Now I have my own sliders etc. and I can debug cq calibrate my touch buttons in my designs.

The qt600 thing drove me nuts when I was installing it. At one moment I rebooted the system and a week later it worked after doing many things....
No idea why it suddenly worked...

Oh, did you manage to upgrade to firmware toa lower version with the small program?

Sorry, I didn't understand.
Do you mean that I should downgrade the qt600 firmware?
I would like to try, but how can I do? No one sw on my pc detects qt600.
