proper name of the 1-to-many switch? Please see image.

Hi,

I am interested in buying a couple of the switches, the "SW1" switch, shown in the attached image. But, I don't know the name called for this called of switch. It's one to many. I am talking about a mechanical switch not a multiplexer kind of IC.

Well, I would describe it as a single pole 6 position switch or SP6P ... sometimes written as SP6T where T is throw. Generically it is a single pole multi position switch.

Only 4 positions (not 6) so it would be a SP4T (single pole 4 throw) switch.

fair enough if OP want good quality & specification which has not mentioned
but for general purpose the one I suggested, buy from a normal electronics shop

OK, just use one of the pole sets ... but for less than $4, that is great value compared to Farnell's price.
