What's a sda2506? Is it an Atmel product?

Google says it's a Siemens EEPROM chip so presumably hmdtop plans to connect it to some kind of computer? Could be any computer though, programmed in any language with any number of available interfaces. One day they'll send that crystal ball back!

Ponyprog supports Siemens SDE2506 EEPROM: http://www.lancos.com/prog.html

SDA2506 and SDE2506 EEPROM's are almost identical.
One difference is erase/write time:
SDA2506-5: 10 ms http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/dat...
SDE2506: 5 ms http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/dat...

Maybe SDA2506 works with PonyProg too even though it it's slower.

Otherwise ELNE's SEEprog supports SDA2506: http://www.elnec.com/products/de...
You can find schematics and PCB layout for a DIY version of SEEprog if you search the internet.

I was hoping that the op would post all that info in order for us to help him. And I would expect that the op would say what HE has done to help himself. :)

This one does not give a virus warning.
But there's no documentation with this baord layout and schematic.
It does say anything about what porgrams support it. And it doesn't say it support SDA2506 either.

So why not just link to the original source instead. They also have more documentation than you provided.
Original link:
PIC and EEPROM Programmer http://www.circuit-projects.com/...
Here you can see it's support it's a JDM programmer and that it supports SDA2506.
You may use ICPROG and WinPIC to start programming your PICs or EEPROMs.

Click here to download schematic and PCB layout files: http://www.circuit-projects.com/...

IC-Prog: http://ic-prog.com

PonyProg also supports JDM programmers: http://www.lancos.com/prog.html
