So I just got back from ESC Boston and am trying to setup my Raven. I'm using the "Quick Start Guide" found on the Atmel website. So I've done the following:
1)Installed the RZ USB STick Drivers and AVR Wireless Services software
2) ran "rfservicesserver 127.0.0.1 27000" as suggested in the guide
3) Fired up the AVR Wireless Services GUI and started the Coordinator with the same fields as suggested in the guide

As soon as I do that, I get a dialog up "rfservicesserver.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" (standard dialog when a program crashes). And then on the GUI, I see "Could not start coordinator". If I actually look at the command window where I invoked the server I see:
"Connected.
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. PLease contact the application's support team for more information."

I'm open to any/all suggestions.

Here's something I did notice. I spotted this error when reinstalling the driver. It prob happened the 1st time I installed it but went by so fast I didn't notice it. And even though there was an error the device shows up find in the Device Manager.

Solved!
There is a additional driver (WinDriver) for Jungo that only gets installed properly if you have the latest version of AVR Studio. I installed the latest AVR Studio, reinstalled all the AVR Wireless stuff and it came right up.

Very cool.

Excellent! That solved my problem too. Thank you for taking the time to post a follow up with your solution Adam!

I usually run everything under Linux but I wanted to try out the demo software and it was enough trouble to find a Windows machine. Your post saved me a lot of time and frustration!

now after run rfservicesserver, says:

but the avr wireless studio says:
No USB stick connected

And the libusb-win32 doesn´t give information about the stick..

I have the latest version of AVR Studio, which currently is 4.18, Build 716. I verified that I have WinDriver installed in my device manager. But I'm still having the same runtime error as described above. Please help! Thank you.

Hi, I have the same problem and I prove the solution of ajcrm125 and doesn't work for me, i believe that this is because i have other trouble about version of something like that.

features:

Avr Studio Version 4.18 Build 716
Avr Wireless Studio Version 1.1
Windows 7

Error:

rfservicesserver.exe has stopped working

if somebody know how to run the demo in windows 7 I'll be very grateful.

Thanks

Has anyone got a solution to this problem with the newer Studio 4 flavours?
I have 4.18, build 684
Jungo driver installed (ISP MKII and JTAGICEII both work fine)
It as also installed Wireless Studio 1.1 as part if the distro.

Is there perhaps some network settings I'd need to change to get the quick start demo to work? Maybe new runtime stuff?

Steve

[EDIT] Just ran SP3 to update to b716, which appeared to update the jungo driver, but no joy. :(

Sorry to say but I never got it working.
Gave up in the end to work on more pressing matters.
