I have worked with ATmega168V 10 AU MLF several times. Everything working properly.

Now i have designed a prototipe using ATmega168V 10PU PDIP, the same microcontroller but with different package (through hole). Here i have a problem when i am going to program it by JTAG ICE II. Appears an error in AVR STudio like "Entering programming mode..FAILED!" and is not possible to program it.
The most important like reset circuitery and JTAG connections are correctly mounted but i can´t program my PDIP model microcontroller. So, do you know how can i do to fix it?

Thanks!!

Which version of "AVR Studio". A new (6.1 Beta) version of Atmel Studio was released just a few days ago. It's possible it may fix any issues there were in the version you use.

BTW I'm not sure why you posted in GCC Forum. For the time being I'll move this to the AS5/6 forum.
