There seems to be quite a few people here using the PonyProg programmer software and I thought someone here might know a solution to my problem. I am using it with a stk200 clone and an attiny2313. My project needs to run at 128khz. For this reason I need to edit the ponyprog.ini file to use the ultraslow sck clock frequency. For some reason every time I edit the file ponyprog rewrites it back to normal. The next higher setting is very slow and this one will hold. However this setting is not suitable. Veryslow produces a sck frequency of 6250hz and this is still to fast. I need around 4khz or a little less to allow comminication with the chip.

Anyone know of a solution.

Well one possibility is to forget the Ponyprog software all together and simply use avrdude.

Problem solved. Found two solutions. There is another piece of programming software I found on the Kanda website called AVRISP. This works well with the stk200 type of programmers.

Also found an upgraded version of Ponyprog. It is the version 208c. Installed this and now Ponyprog works correctly.

So now I have 2 software drivers for my stk200.

Thanks
