I just installed AVRStudio 4.14 Build 589 anf WinAVR 20080512. I am on Windows Vista sp1 64-Bit.

When I try to compile, I get this...

Build started 29.5.2008 at 21:14:11
0 [main] sh 1404 sync_with_child: child 3688(0x12C) died before initialization with status code 0x0
69080 [main] sh 1404 sync_with_child: *** child state waiting for longjmp
/usr/bin/sh: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
../led_mod.c:123: fatal error: opening dependency file dep/led_mod.o.d: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [led_mod.o] Error 1
Build failed with 1 errors and 0 warnings...

I can't figure it out. Can anyone help out please? Thanks.

I think I solved it by using the replacement msys-1.0.dll found here:

I was seeing the same problem on my Windows Vista 64. Loaded the driver off the link posted above and my problem is fixed.

Thanks...
