Hi guys,

I'm maintaining a project based on an 'UC3A3. I produce them in batches of 100-200. Lately, availability has been getting poorer, and prices have gone up.

So I'm starting to consider a port to an ARM MCU.

Are there good ways of doing just that? The code is generic C on FreeRTOS. The toughest part, I guess, will be to port low-level clock, DMA and serial port code.

Atmel has done an architecuture update or two for UC3.
Have you considered UC3C?

Atmel has FreeRTOS on SAM3, SAM4, (etc.) with demonstrations.
Could select an Atmel Cortex-M that would be a fit for your application then evaluate it with a SAM Xplained board.
