We make a widget for cosmetics salons.
Recently i received a call from a new widget owner who complained certain LEDs were not lighting up a proceeded to tell me how she knows her LED technology and these LEDs are simply not lighting up.
Expectation is red, blue and infr red sources should be active. Red and Blue LEDs have clear bodies and IR leds smoky blue. Despite my attempts to point out the fact that the blue LEDS which are not lighting up ought not show as they are IR LEDs there was a persistant demand i front up and repair it. Eventually after photos were exchanged and additional letter cnsumed that problem had been put to rest.
The next demand was the canopy on the structure was not satying in the open position. So now we are going to discuss what the not open means; is it a slight droop, severe droop or complete closure. I have advised the client the canopy should be at a particular heighth. I expect again a round of letters and measurements and that will be resolved without a call out.
The next thing is the structure, a bed, not unklike sun tanning bed is creaking making noises what do I propose to do to make it stop creak. I dont know.. we have not discussed sources of noise as the structure rests on a tiled floor.
The site is Sydney, I am in Brisbane.. an hours flight either way and a few hundred dollars in airfares.
Anyway... to come to the gist of the problem... where does warranty support end and good will gets dissipated?
