Hi,

Has anyone got a favorite PCB manufacturer that can build prototype PCBs to the following spec and at a reasonable price?

1.6mm FR4, 4-layer
0.125mm track/gap/ring
0.2mm minimum hole size

I normally use PCB Pool for prototype boards, but they specify 0.15mm track/gap and 0.3mm minimum hole size for 4-layer boards.

Cheers,
Matt.

Hi Matt,
I use http://www.pcbtrain.co.uk/ who produce up to six layers.
However, for four layers the site recommended by Leon will be less expensive.

I will give a try to Elektor new PCB service (www.elektorpcbservice.com?).

Thanks for the links guys. As far as I can tell, these services have minimum requirements pretty much on par with PCB-POOL. It seems for 4/6-layer boards, 0.15mm track/gap is fairly standard for this type of prototyping service.

You can't use Eurocircuits' lowest-cost service, but they will be cost-effective for what you want. Ask Patrick for a quotation:

Those specs do not sound right, those are horrible minimum specs.

BatchPCB is cheap and their specs are decent, but the wait time maybe very long.

There's nothing wrong with those specs, they just aren't compatible with any of the low-cost prototyping services. High-performance boards have much narrower tracks and smaller vias.

Hi Matt,

I also use PCB-POOL for all my prototypes.
Currently 0.15 mm is the smallest spacing / 0.3 mm drill size they can accept for standard PCB-POOl orders (1-6 layers /online service)

They can also manufacture more difficult / higher technology pcbs in what they can "NON-POOL just send an email to sales@pcb-pool.com

You can also use this link :

Hope this helps

Matthew.
