Hey there fellow freaks.

I need to find a manufacturer of RFI shields for PCBs. I have designed a circuit around Harwins SMT RFI clips but can't seem to find a suitable manufacturer that does exactly what I want.

The idea is that the clips are surface mounted to the board, Then the shield is pushed into the clips to complete assembly.

The shield is a simple folded metal enclosure.

Pics of the idea are here....

The shield needs to be fairly lightweight (<2mm thick) and cheap to manufacture.

Can anyone suggest a manufacturer / supplier that may fit the bill? (For interests sake I'm in Australia but OS manufacturer ok).

Look foward to some replies.

Thanks,
oddbudman

Try 1800 111 485 else www.industrytechlink.com.au

But you may also get some joy from your PCB manufacturer.. consider copper clad FR4 segments soldered together ( even routed with interlocking tabs for additional stiffness).

In any case it is a bugger of a thing to organise.

Good luck
